Noun: A Noun is a word as the name of anything.That means name of person, animal, thing, place, idea, quality etc. Example: Zinia, Razshahi, Iron, Jute, Book, Army, Cow, Pen etc.

Noun has 5 types:

1. Proper Noun
2. Common Noun
3. Collective Noun
4. Material Noun
5. Abstract Noun

1. Proper Noun: A Proper Noun is the name of particular person, animal or place. Example:

1. Mazid is my friend. (Here Mazid is a Proper Noun)
2. Dhaka is a big city. (Here Dhaka is a Proper Noun)
3. The Padma is a big river. (Here The Pama is a Proper Noun)

2. Common Noun: A Common Noun is the name which is common to all. Example:

1. The cow lives on grass. (Here cow is a Common Noun)
2. Man is mortal. (Here Man is a Common Noun)

3. Collective Noun: Collective Noun is the name of a group of person or number of things that taken together. Example: 

1. We read in class 5. (Here class is a Collective Noun)
2. Masum is the best boy in the class. (Here class is a Collective Noun)
3. The army is moving towards Hilltracts. (Here armyis a Collective Noun)

4. Material Noun: A Material Noun is the name of a substance or material. Example:

1. We eat rice. (Here rice is a Material Noun)
2. Milk is white. (Here Milk is a Material Noun)
3. Gold is a valuable metal. (Here Gold is a Material Noun)

5. Abstract Noun: An Abstract Noun is the name of a state, quality or an action of a person or name of a thing. Example:

1. Honesty is the best policy. (Here Honesty is an Abstract Noun)
2. Kindness is a best virtue. (Here Kindness is an Abstract Noun)
